It means we are trying to contact you to participate in one of a variety of surveys we are conducting. For most surveys we will make several attempts to call your number.
Generally, we make calls to landlines or mobile numbers across Australia and in some cases we first need to check if you live in the area in which a given survey is being conducted or ask your age up front to ensure we are talking to a good representation of the population.
While none of our surveys are compulsory and participation is optional, we do appreciate your participation and taking the opportunity to give us your view on the topic we are calling about. You can discontinue the survey at any time.
We are permitted to call both silent numbers and numbers that are on the Do Not Call Register however you may request not to be called by us for any future surveys.
All telephone surveys conducted by Taverner Research may be monitored or recorded for training and quality control purposes and our interviewer will inform you of which at the beginning of the survey.
We conduct interviews during the following hours (local time in each state and territory):
- Monday to Friday: 9.30am to 8:30pm
- Saturday: 11am to 5pm
- Sunday: 11am to 5pm
